So since everyone is gone off campus including our members we
decided that we would just resort to the bus instead of finding rides
from our invisible members... so we get on the bus and guess who is
there! SANTA!! It was the BEST thing of my life....so here I am riding
the bus with Santa eating a candy cane that he gave to me and giggling
like a child and all the sudden he pulls over the bus and gets off and
walks up to this little CUTE Chinese girl and give her a candy cane! It
was the HAPPIEST moment of my life! I will tell you that! I may or may
not have cried a little tear or two...but it was a GOOD moment. Chris
was with us and he was so embarrassed by my happiness...
SOOO
we had interview this morning and President Jacobsen is soo funny! He
asked Sister Rogers how she handled me! He came in to get the next
person to interview and looks all around and then at me and says
"well...I guess I will take you..." hahaha! He always make such funny
jokes to me and Sister Jacobsen always tells him "you never know someone
might not get your humor one time!" Haha I reassure him that my family
is twice as bad...Sister Jacobsen is soo just like me...it is funny!
Sunday she was making little packages for all the missionaries and
needed help so we went over and helped her and Sister Rogers just
laughed the whole time because we are so alike! When they say they match
you to the mission president and his wife...they weren't kidding! I
love them both soo much!
Well one day we were trying
to PC (personal contact) on campus and there was no one...we got half
way through campus and had talked to ONE PERSON! and MSU is huge! So
decided well lets just walk all the way to Spartan Village where Ramya
lives and just visit her real quick! Well we had under estimated how
long of a walk it was but we finally got there and she invited us in and
then told us she wanted to be baptized! What?! So she is being baptized
December 31st! She wants us to borrow her Saris to wear at her baptism!
How cool would that be!?!? I LOVE RAMYA! We taught her the word of
wisdom and she said well I drink tea...but I can just drink milk
instead! and when we followed up she said "I have been drinking a lot of
milk..." haha!
THIEN!!!! He is SO COOL! Sunday we
were going over some of the attributes of God and he raises his hand and
says "handsome" haha yes Thien...he is probably handsome...we teach our
investigators well! :) He has been progressing so well! Lately we have
been having him read the scriptures out loud in Vietnamese and then
summarize what he has read! It is great because he understands it better
and I LOVE how it sounds! It is very cool! He is going to be baptized January 10th!
annnndddd everyone else is gone....
But
in all of that sadness of people being gone there have been so many
great and fun things happening! We got to go on trade-offs for two days
in a row! It was fun to be with other sisters but when Sister Rogers and
I got back together we talked for like 2 hours and probably got to
sleep a little later than we should have! ;) haha! today at interviews
President Jacobsen said "so what are you going to do when I transfer you
out of your little dream land." I told him "President of course you
would never do that!" ;) He then told me he can only handle me being so
close to him for so long....but I am in denial. MSU FOREVER! :)
I
love my mission. I love Christ's church and I know with all my heart it
is true! :) Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! :) I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!
Thank you for all you Christmas presents and love! I am so blessed to
have you all in my life! :)
Much Michigan Love,Sister Oswald
