So kenz....you are getting married this
week! But I sent you a letter with everything that I could say! I really
didn't know how to put it into words...haha so good luck reading it!
Just know that I love you and even when you are married I will still
claim you mine...sorry Ben...
Monday we had ward FHE...it was so fun! Rachel was able to come and she loved it!
This week was kind of crazy! We had trade-offs Monday night to Wednesday
morning! Sister Jordan is an amazing missionary! I am so lucky to be
able to go on trade-offs with the sisters in this zone and be able to
talk with them and gain so much from how they are doing in missionary
work! While we were on trade-offs my mind was completely somewhere
else...I swear I lost it that day! Just to show an example of how bad it
was we walked out the door and to the car and I realized...I don't have
the keys....and the door is locked....awesome. So here we were are
locked out...but luckily we had the phone and we were able to call the
Zone Leaders for our extra key! So I am talking to Elder Tuttle and he
tells me well you can just use you credit card and explains over the
phone how to break into our apartment! And he says keep trying while we
are heading over haha! So I am sticking a credit card in between our
door and our neighbor walks out and I look...well...like I am breaking
into our apartment haha! So I awkwardly say "oh...um...this is our
apartment" ...haha so awkward! Well for about 5 minutes I try to break
into our apartment with Sister Jordan who has only been out for a
month...what a great example right? So I put my card back into my wallet
and say "Welp might as well go knock on some doors!" and the 2nd door
we knocked on we were talking about eternal families and she told us
that just that day her mom passed away! Well Heavenly Father had to lock
us out of our apartment to get us where we needed to be! So we are
going back Tuesday!
Super Solid. And then the Elders came and I learned how to break into
someones house with a credit card...I am learning REAL life skills on my
mission.
I am going to try and summarize some crazy things that happened this week:
1.
Also while I was on trade-offs, I got this nice little package in the
mail thinking someone was kind enough to send me a cute package form an
unknown address! Well I get inside and open it and there is a few CD's
and some books! Sweet! Someone sent me CD's and books! I am looking
through and one of the CD's was titled 10 Latter-Days saints encounter
with Jesus Christ and how it changed their life. COOL! So excited! Next
CD there was three missionaries on the cover with the see no evil, hear
no evil, speak no evil things going on... well that is weird...one of
the books was a new version of the Bible and lastly I pick up one book
that says 7 Reasons why we left the Mormon Church...I dropped it on the
table and just looked at it! Let me tell you I had the worst feeling in
the world. I was literally scared. It is not everyday that you receive
anti-Mormon material in the mail from an unknown sender. I was on
trade-offs so I just stacked it all up and set it aside...but that nasty
feeling would not leave me and I had a huge head-ache from the time I
had gotten it until Wednesday
night! I honestly did not know what to do! But at zone conference
President Jacobsen got up and said there are three things that are
specifically hard about our mission 1. The freezing cold 2. How large
our mission is and 3. That Michigan is the Anti-Mormon material capitol
of the world. Elders and Sisters I know there is a lot of anti material
you have to deal with on a daily basis but we can overcome
anti-material. I had gotten home and was sick of my head-ache so I went
to the table and broke the CD's in half and ripped up the books...I am
pretty sure Sister Anderton thought I had gone mad! but there are NOT
seven reason to leave the Mormon church. You better be sure of that, and
if you aren't ask God and he will let you know. The Church is True. It
is God's Kingdom on the earth. I know that.
2. Elder Louis is from Hawaii and a
member in the ward is from Hawaii also! So they got together and made
Hawaiian food for all of us and played the Ukelele! Made me think of
you.
3. We played horse shoes at a young single adult
activity...and I am very bad at it...let's just say I almost severely
injured a few people.
Anyways....bye.
