There are sooo many prepared people in Bay City. Even if we have to door knock for hours on end we find them....
The
other week (which I might have told you about already) we knocked on
this ladies door and I just totally started saying ALL THE WRONG
THINGS....I thought...well she excitedly excepted our invitation to
learn and we set up a return appointment to much of my surprise! Well
last night we taught her for the first time and she is now getting ready
to be baptized on March 28th
and is very excited! We told her that the way Jesus Christ was baptized
and by that same authority is the exact same as when she will be
baptized and she readily accepted the invitation! It was a miracle! She
was truly prepared by the Lord.
Next we are
teaching a guy named Jeff we get there and he has TONS of religious
books laid across his table. We taught him the Plan of Salvation and he
said "wow that makes so much sense" I bore testimony that every single
truth that is in Jesus Christ church is in the church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and that he didn't need to read every other single
book to find it. God has prepared a way for it to all be in one place.
It was a great lesson and the spirit was very present.
Things are going great with Ralphie and Robin and the girls they are just so wonderful and coming to church every Sunday!
Patty
is great! We went over to help he clean her kitchen while she was sick
and she said I am just starting to love you girls more and more. She
knows the church is true! We just have to help her get healthy enough to
get to church! That will be the biggest thing! But she has also been
sooo prepared! It is very cool to see.
Things
are going well with the work in Bay City! We had Elder Nash of the
Quorum of the Seventy come today and he was soo wonderful! The spirit
was VERY strong. I love the feeling of the spirit it is just an
encouraging feeling! Being a missionary is such a great mantel and it is
so wonderful to be a part of this wonderful work. I am grateful for my
savior who has felt everything that I have felt and that he knows what I
need....even if sometimes I have to patiently wait for it, but I know
that it will always come. He knows what we feel, he knows what he need,
and he will also be our stronghold.
Much Michigan Love,
Sister Oswald
