We were singing
called to serve the other day in relief society and that bottom line
stuck out to me so much! As missionaries, we really are called to know
the richness of his blessings! It is amazing! I love my mission!
Alright...this week was my favorite week on my mission!!! ( I have a lot of those)
Okay
so KYLE! Can I just tell you Kyle make me sooo happy! Like beyond
happy! Like my heart is soo full when we are teaching him! Okay okay
okay! So we have a set of visa waiters in the mission and they are going
to Taiwan! So they came down to campus to practice teaching in chinese
to our investigators! So we set to the elders hey maybe you could put
him on date for
Dec 13th!
So they came in in the middle of our lesson and we introduced them and
we said Kyle do you want us to stay and he just looked at us and shook
his head yes haha...chinese elders are scary I guess...but then they
just spoke in Chinese and then Kyle turned to us and said I want to be
baptized
Dec 6th
to show God my faith! I wanted to cry...the spirit in that room was
amazing! I asked Kyle how do you feel right now and he said "really
happy!" I was so happy! My heart=full! Then we all said a kneeling
prayer and he said "I am excited to be baptized
Dec 6th!" Oh I love Kyle so much! :)
And
Valerie this week...she is amazing!! She text us and asked us for a few
baptismal dates to begin praying about! And she decided
Dec 6th
also! :) but she wants to talk to her family first....sooo hopefully
that goes well! Please please pray for it to go well! She is so amazing!
She set up her own appointment with the bishop because she wanted to
get to know him better! and then she text us after just so happy and she
said "he is soo inpired!" I do love our bishop! He is from hawaii and
always say "aloha!" whenever he gets up to speak! He is soo great! I
love Valerie so much! She is so prepared and willing to follow what God
would have her do! Even if it means making sacrifices! She is so
wonderful....someday I want to grow up to be just like Valerie!
We
also taught Meg this week! She leave back to Brazil in two weeks...I
want to cry! I will miss her so much! She is truly the best person I
have ever met! So kind hearted! I will miss her but we are going to keep
in touch! :) We taught her about the importance of baptism and asked
her to pray about
Dec 6th
but I don't want to rush her into anything. So we will get her into
contact with missionaries down there so she can continue the lessons!
and
then we also met with Audrey! I will get a picture with her this week
so you can see how beautiful she is! She is so amazing and so prepared!
Cool story! So a member in our ward served where Audrey is from in
Bordeaux, France so she can get in contact with missionaries down there!
But realizing that she is leaving in two weeks...made me want to cry in
the middle of the lesson! But of course we switched e-mails and we will
keep in contact! I love Audrey so so much!
we went on two
last trade-offs for the transfer and it was so fun! I got to go to Mason
and it is the CUTEST little town I have ever seen! I loved loved loved
it!
This week is transfer calls the day after
Thanksgiving! I am nervous!! President Jacobsen has a way of surprising
people in the least expected way! I want to stay sooooo bad at MSU! SOOO
BAD! I love this area so much! I would be okay with spending the rest
of my mission here!! Everything is wonderful!
Well everyone
should serve a mission. We went and visited this old lady on trade-offs
in a nursing home and she was asking about our families and if we were
going home for Thanksgiving so we explained well we don't really go
home....and she was so surprised and telling us what a sacrifice we
make! In my head I just realized so strongly that this is no sacrifice.
There is no sacrifice here! I always thought wow we are making such a
big sacrifice! I am going to at least give back a little bit for what
the Savior did for me...but now I am even more in debt! I have gained
ten times more, in the last year of my life, than anything I could ever
sacrifice. The church is true with all of its doctrine and teachings and
Jesus Christ at the head of it! I love my mission. I love my Savior. I
love my Heavenly Father and I have truly been called to know the
richness of his blessings.
Much Michigan Love <3
